Department of Nanometrology

prof. Andrzej Sikora at Sapienza Univeristy, Roma

Date: 02.10.2025

From August 29 to September 30, 2025, prof. Andrzej Sikora was visiting professor at the Sapienza University of Rome.

This stay was primarily devoted to conducting nanoscale measurements using atomic force microscopy. Professor Sikora studied the morphological and mechanical properties of peptide samples, as well as the electrical properties of two-dimensional materials. The stay also provided an opportunity to present the activities of the Department of Nanometrology to Sapienza University staff and doctoral students, participate in the NanoInnovation 2025 conference, including co-chairing two specialized sessions. In addition he had the opportunity to discuss research collaboration in the implementation of new types of AFM probes in biological sample studies, and the student and doctoral student exchanges between universities. Also, the plan of organizing a webinar on the implementation of advanced AFM probes in nanoscale surface measurements was discussed.
